Eritrean Refugee cyclist

"I didn't have a bicycle in Eritrea. I wanted one, but my family couldn't afford it. But I have a photo where I am sitting on a bike. We were on our way to a market and I saw a small bike there. I immediately hopped on it. When they told me to step down I refused and told them I wanted to get a photo with it, Seeing how happy I became, they took the photo. I'm smiling in it." Filmon's family escaped forced conscription in Eritrea. They now live in Mai Aini camp in Ethiopia. In spite of finding safety in the camp, its inhabitants face many difficulties on a daily basis.
