Open to projects of consequence. I specialize in documentary portraiture and work with NGOs on projects related to human rights issues and marginalized communities. I'm a native speaker of Slovak (and Czech), Bosnian (and Croat and Serbian), as well as proficient in English and German. I am at home in Italian and Macedonian.
Born in pre-war Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1986. Having an experience with being a refugee myself — my family fled the '90s Balkan Wars — I developed an intense interest in issues of human rights, forced displacement and marginalized communities. I specialize in collaborating on long-term projects with NGOs and media, focusing on telling strong stories through portraiture and documentary-style reporting. Currently based in Rome, always on the move.
